PROTOCOLENGAGEMENT RULES
ONE MONTH. FOUR FAILURES. ONE MISSION: RESTORE THE NETWORK.
A month-long online developer challenge running throughout December 2026. Participants will respond to a series of simulated internet infrastructure failures issued by the Network Continuity Authority (NCA).
FAILURE ANNOUNCEMENT
A critical internet service has failed. The NCA issues an emergency broadcast revealing the affected system and the scale of the incident.
RECOVERY BRIEFING
The NCA publishes the technical requirements, constraints, datasets, and evaluation criteria. Participants receive everything required to begin their recovery operation.
RECOVERY WINDOW
The recovery window opens. Participants have the week to design, develop, test, and deploy a working solution. Build independently or assemble a recovery team.
NCA EVALUATION
Submissions are reviewed against functionality, engineering quality, reliability, security, performance, and implementation. The strongest recovery system is selected by the NCA.
